Alhaji Jibrin holds Msc in Finance from Bayero University, Kano. He has served in the Finance Department of the three tiers of Government in Nigeria at various times retiring in 2012 as a Director of Finance and Accounts at the Federal level.

He has and is still serving as Chairman of various private companies, and he is also a Director in the board of some companiesin Nigeria.
